The project review and site visit has been conducted this week by Ernakulam District Collector Dr. M. Beena I.A.S. and Shri. T.K. Jose I.A.S., MD, RBDCK. In the meeting they talked with reputed firms for the facility management inside VMH.

Also they discussed about the pay and park facility inside the hub. There will be two underground parking lots, boat jetties, shopping malls and two bus terminals. There will also be 71 bus bays and space for parking 150 buses, 900 cars and 120 auto rickshaws.

The preparations of inauguration of Vyttila Mobility Hub have been started and it will be by the end of February with nine KSRTC buses plying from there. It will be the Vyttila-Vyttila A/C low-floor circular buses and the buses from Cherthala and Muvattupuzha which will operate from the Mobility Hub soon after the inauguration of the project. Though there are plans to shift the base of all the long-distance buses and mofussil buses including KSRTC and private buses to the mobility hub, it will take some more time as there are some technical hurdles to be cleared.
